A teacher is a person who helps in shaping our life from our childhood days, who wipes our tears and makes us smile, teaches us, scolds us, plays with us, and helps us overcome our fear. He remodels our lives. Such people are specially made by God to look after His small wonders and loving creatures. Come, let’s celebrate all these people who have made an impact on us and in our lives to make us what we are today. Let us celebrate Teacher’s Day and pay our tribute to these eminent personalities who are none other than God for each one of us.
There is a doha by Sant Kabir,
Teacher’s day is celebrated all across India, every year on 5th of September, to pay tribute to the teachers for their precious contribution to our studies as well as towards the society and the country. There is a great reason behind the celebration of teacher’s day on the 5th of September. It is the birthday of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. He was a great person and highly devoted towards the education. He was a well-known scholar, diplomat, Vice President of India, President of India and most importantly A Teacher. After being elected as the Indian President in 1962, he was asked and requested by the students to get permission to celebrate his birthday on 5th of September. However, he replied that, instead of celebrating the 5th of September as his personal birthday, it would be better if it is dedicated to the whole teaching profession:- all our Gurus who nurture our lives. And 5th of September should be celebrated as teacher’s day all over India to pay honour to the teaching profession.
The world’s teachers day falls on October 5th, and it commemorates teachers’ organizations worldwide. The day is celebrated to recognize the untiring work that our teachers do for us and all the pain they take to develop a beautiful world as the students of today are the citizens of tomorrow. An eligible and bright student would make a brighter tomorrow with the right guidance and learning.
For all students of India, Teachers’ Day is like an occasion and opportunity to pay tribute and gratitude to their teachers for their continuous, selfless and precious efforts in shaping the future. They are the reason to enrich all the quality education system in the country and process it continuously without getting tired. Our teachers never consider us less than their own children and teach us from their heart. As kids, we need inspiration and motivation which we surely get from our teachers. They prepare us to tackle any situation in life through knowledge and patience. Teachers are like lightning lamps that spread knowledge, awareness and help channel the innate intelligence of students in something which is truly fulfilling and enriching.
Mentors and teachers not only play a crucial role in imparting knowledge, but they also help to inculcate compassion, empathy and shape the perceptions of learners. They are the ones who help students develop intellectually and progress logically in life.
The hard work and efforts that teachers put into building the future citizens of the nation should always be appreciated and applauded. And as they say, “It takes a big heart to shape little minds,’ celebrating Teachers’ Day is just a way of thanking and showing love to all those who have been a part of the student’s learning, development and have contributed in making them human.
